For the second consecutive school year, breakfasts and lunches will be served at no cost to all La Porte ISD students.

The district will operate the Community Eligibility Provision under the National School Lunch Program and National School Breakfast Program and will not require families to submit applications; every student will have automatic access, said School Nutrition Director Ralph Wilkins.

La Porte ISD has been honored for six straight years by the Texas Department of Agriculture for serving such items as locally sourced produce, meat and bread.
