Current Graduation Plans
La Porte ISD is actively monitoring the weather forecast for Friday’s graduation on May 22, 2026.

Our priority is to hold the LPHS graduation ceremony outdoors at Bulldog Stadium on Friday at 7:00 p.m. as planned.
As we continue to closely track developing weather conditions, we will provide updates daily to our plans.
Weather Monitoring for La Porte High School Graduation
Any alternate graduation plans will be made and communicated NO LATER than Friday, May 22 at 5:00 p.m.
All official updates will be communicated through these channels:

- This graduation website (lpisd.org/graduation)
Alternate Plans (if weather doesn’t allow for our original graduation plan)
- Option 1: Adjust the start time on Friday or, if the forecast allows, move the ceremony to Saturday, May 23.
- Option 2: Hold the ceremony indoors at Bulldog Centre on Friday, May 22 at 7:00 p.m.
Clear Bag Policy
A Clear Bag Policy is in effect for all of our graduation ceremonies. View the Clear Bag Parameters here.
- No Umbrellas as they impede the visibility of our guests. Ponchos or rain jackets are strongly encouraged.
- No Balloons or Large Signs.
- No Real or Artificial Noisemakers/Air Horns.
- No Confetti Poppers.

Ceremony Entry Details
DeWalt Graduation @ Bulldog Centre
- Doors open for guests at 6 p.m. Enter through the doors at the top of the steps.
- Elevator Access is available through the doors at the bottom of the steps.
La Porte High School Graduation @ Bulldog Stadium
- All gates open for guests at 5:30 p.m.
- Elevator access is available through the Press Box Entrance off Texas Street.
Graduation Parking Information – Class of 2026
We are excited to celebrate our graduates! To help ensure smooth parking and traffic flow for the ceremonies at Bulldog Stadium and the Bulldog Centre, please use the designated graduation parking lots shown on the map below.
Designated Parking Lots (Highlighted in Orange)
- Junior Lot – Off Fairmont Pkwy and Texas Street
- Senior Lot – Off Fairmont Pkway in front of Sonja Angelo Theatre (not recommended for Bulldog Centre)
- STEM Lot – Between the Tennis Courts and the STEM Building
- LPE Lot – La Porte Elementary School Parking off of S. Broadway St.
- LPJ Lot – La Porte Junior High School Parking off of S. Broadway St.
LPISD will provide golf carts to assist guests who need help getting to and from the parking lots and ceremony venues. Shuttles will be running continuously before and after each ceremony.
