La Porte ISD celebrates student success and growth in 2024-25 state accountability ratings

La Porte Independent School District has earned an overall “B” rating from the Texas Education Agency for the 2024–25 school year, reflecting solid student achievement, academic growth and progress in closing learning gaps across campuses.
The rating highlights the commitment of La Porte ISD teachers, staff, students and families to academic excellence and growth-focused instruction. Multiple campuses received the state’s highest “A” rating, and schools across the district showed gains in overall performance.
Highlights of the 2024–25 accountability ratings include:
- Districtwide rating: Overall grade of “B”, indicating strong academic performance and growth.
- Three campuses received “A” ratings: College Park Elementary, Leo Rizzuto Elementary and Lomax Elementary.
- Notable score improvements: Lomax Junior High, Lomax Elementary and Leo Rizzuto Elementary posted significant gains.
- La Porte High School: Maintained a “B” rating with a 95.7% graduation rate and an increase in College, Career and Military Readiness (CCMR).
- Closing the Gaps (Domain 3): Five campuses—Lomax Junior High, College Park Elementary, Leo Rizzuto Elementary, Lomax Elementary and La Porte Elementary—earned “A” ratings for efforts in focused learning and equity.
District leaders plan to continue implementing strategic instructional practices and targeted interventions, with an emphasis on both academic and personal growth for all students.
