La Porte ISD has been rated as an “A-” district for 2024 by Niche.com, a national education ranking and review site.

The district additionally received “A” grades for teachers and diversity, and an “A-” in college prep.

School districts are graded on a variety of factors, including academics, teachers, clubs and activities, sports, resources and facilities, diversity, college prep, administration, and food.  Niche rankings combine this user input with statistical data to determine rankings.

La Porte ISD was additionally ranked as Harris County’s fifth-best school district in the “Best Teachers” category and seventh for “Best Places to Teach.”

“These ratings are reflective of our intentional work and meaningful relationships with our students, staff and community,” said Superintendent Dr. Walter Jackson. “That our stakeholders helped determine our final grades makes this not only that much more special, but also shows that La Porte ISD is on the right track in their eyes.”
