Eight players represent the 2022 La Porte Lady Bulldogs on the 22-5A All District Soccer Team, including five underclassmen.
Among those, sophomore Audrey Wilson garnered the district’s Goalkeeper of the Year award for the second straight year.
Led by first year head coach Melissa Sauceda, the Lady Bulldogs narrowly missed a playoff berth this past season with a 10-10-1 regular season finish.
“This is an extremely tough district with a lot of outstanding soccer players,” Sauceda said. “I am proud of our team for all the hard work they put in this year, and I’m really pleased that we are so well represented on the All-District squad.”
Fellow 22-5A teams Manvel and Santa Fe each advanced to the third round of the playoffs. State-ranked Friendswood, meanwhile, made it all the way to the UIL Regional Finals.
