Senior cornerback and Houston Baptist University commit Travis Greenawalt, meanwhile, is the district’s Special Teams Player of the Year, as selected by coaches across 9-5A.

“Our student-athletes work hard on and off the field, and this is a nice reward for them,” said Head Football Coach Anthony Renfro. “The All-District [and player of the year] honors are bestowed on them by other coaches in the district who have seen their abilities first-hand.”

Academic All-District accolades are based on grade point average and student integrity, as well as athletic performance. Unlike the Academic All-State Team, the district team may include freshmen, sophomores and juniors.
