After two date changes due to the arrival of a global pandemic and the threat of a tropical storm, golfers finally teed off at the 16th Annual La Porte Education Foundation Golf Tournament on Wednesday, October 21, 2020.
The event raised $25,100. The money will be used to fund innovative, creative instructional projects that benefit the students and teachers of the La Porte Independent School District.
The Presenting Sponsor for this year’s tournament was the City of La Porte.
A total of 100 players from 25 teams took part in the tournament held at the Bay Forest Golf Course.
The first-place team for the morning flight was Contech Control Services.
The first-place team for the afternoon flight was La Porte Tire Center, Inc.
Gringo’s was the Lunch and Dinner Tournament Sponsor.
