LA PORTE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION
La Porte ISD has extended the suspension of normal district operations through at least Friday, April 10 in an effort to support the nation’s need to flatten the curve of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Due to this closure, the District will not be able to physically be open for the required 3 hours a day. If you have any business to conduct concerning the election, you may contact Candace Olivares, Administrative Assistant to LPISD Superintendent and Board of Trustees, by phone at

The next election for the La Porte ISD Board of Trustees is May 2, 2020.

Qualifications for a Board Position
Candidates for the Board of Trustees must:
- Be a qualified and registered voter of the territory elected from as of the filing deadline;
- Reside in the school district for a minimum of six months prior to the filing deadline; and
- Be a resident of the state for a minimum of twelve months prior to the deadline.
