La Porte H.S. HOSA students compete at State, advance to International Conference

Maya DeConge will represent LPHS in the category of “Outstanding HOSA Chapter.” DeConge, Julia Garza, Kendall Boutte and Laural Williams also qualified for the Barbara James Service Award based on their health-related community service projects.

Joseph Gallegos, Taylor Ward, and Kaitlyn Unger will compete in the healthcare issues competition at the International Conference level after placing in the top 50 of 463 students at the state conference.
The HOSA International Conference will be held June 27 through 30 at the Dallas Convention Center.
