Sophomore Laural Williams placed second in Extemporaneous Health Poster, and senior Kallie Juel placed fourth in Sports Medicine.
Also, of 294 students competing in Health Care Issues, six LPHS seniors scored in the top 10 percent. They include David Garza, third; Kallie Juel, 4th; Kelsey Ramirez, 8th; senior Kirsten Spacek, 11th; Makenna Havard, 22nd, and Izza Chatta, 29th.
In addition, sophomore Maya Deconge was elected the HOSA Area 6 historian and will represent LPHS and Texas HOSA at both the national and international level in 2017. HOSA is sponsored by Robin Guimbellot.
