Welcome to the La Porte ISD Instructional Technology department website!

Our department is committed to providing our staff and students with the best educational opportunities through the use of technology. Our department is staffed with an Academic Computer Educational Specialist (ACES) at each one of our eleven campuses and at least one Instructional Technology Assistant (ITA)at each of our regular campuses. These staff members facilitate the use of technology integration at their respective campuses by planning integration projects with teachers, co-teaching, modeling, or assisting teachers in the computer labs. We provide staff development that addresses multiple needs of our staff. Level I training assists participants to learn how to use the applications that are currently available throughout our district and Level II training addresses how those applications can be used to integrate technology in their content areas.
