Statements required by statute:

• La Porte ISD has adopted and enforces policies to ensure that district campuses comply with Texas Education Agency vending machine and food service guidelines for restricting student access to vending machines.
• La Porte ISD has adopted and enforces policies and procedures that prescribe penalties for the use of tobacco products by students and others on school campuses or at school-sponsored or school-related activities.
• No students were expelled from LPISD during 2008-2009 for bringing a firearm (as defined by Title 18 U.S.C., Section 921) to school. Expulsion, for purposes of this report, is defined as removal from the student's regular program due to conduct described in TEC, Section 37.007(e).
