Mr. David Drake graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching and gained a Master's Degree in Educational Management from University of Houston/CL. He also holds a Superintendent's certificate from UHCLC.
Mr. Drake has been in education for twenty-four years. He spent two years at Alvin ISD and twenty-two years in La Porte.
Mr. Drake taught English and was a football/baseball coach during the first nine years here at La Porte. Then he became the Assistant Director of Instruction for one year and a campus administrator assistant/associate principal for seven years. During the past five years, Mr. Drake has been the La Porte High School Principal.
Mr. Drake states that he loves coming to work each day. He continues to be impressed with the young men and young women who attend LPHS, and he is BULLDOG PROUD!
On a personal note, Mr. Drake is happily married and has two children.
