Penelope Everett was born in Dallas a time long ago. She attended public schools there, graduating from North Dallas High School.
Ms. Everett attended the University of North Texas for one year, studying English and art. After ten years of being a stay-at-home mom, Ms. Everett finished her bachelor's degree at the University of Texas at Dallas, majoring in Special Education.
Ms. Everett taught in Dallas, Highland Park, and Richardson before finally seeing the light and moving to the Houston area in 1987. Ms. Everett taught in the Clear Creek ISD until moving to become an assistant principal here at La Porte High School in 1999.
