Welcome to our new students! Orientation was held on Thursday, August 4 for all new students and their parents. Please feel free to browse our website and familiarize yourself with our philosophy, facility, people, and history. If you were unable to attend, please contact the school to make arrangements to meet with Principal David Knowles or Counselor Michelle Kwapick.

PARENT CONFERENCES and FALL SEMESTER IMPORTANT DATES

Mark your calendars!

• Monday, September 5 is a student and staff holiday.
• Parent conferences will be held on Thursday, September 22. We look forward to meeting with you to discuss your child's progress. Students will be released early that day (around 10:40 a.m.) and on Friday, September 23.
• The following Monday, September 26, is a student holiday (and a staff development day for employees).
• There is also a student holiday on Monday, October 31 (staff development day for employees).
• Thanksgiving holidays: November 21-25
• Last day of the semester: December 16 (early dismissal for students)

Congratulations to Ms. Marcy Golden on being selected to represent DeWalt as our Teacher of the Year. Ms. Golden teaches English/Language Arts and also spearheads our PEP group. She loves working with young adults, and provides an invaluable service to our school. Thanks for all you do, Ms. Golden!

Welcome to Ms. Michelle Kwapick! She is looking forward to meeting our students and parents, and will be happy to sit down and go over your transcript, plan class schedules, assist with decision-making about junior college or college admissions, or help with just about any problem you need to discuss.
